It all started this morning during my 8:00 business statistics class. [8:00 a.m. on Friday is a horrible time to conduct a statistics or accounting class.] I noticed an unusual symptom in my right eye. After class, I phoned around and found a friendly retina physican who could see me on short notice.
During the lull between diagnosis and treatment, he asked of what I am a professor. After hearing “Accounting,” he shared that in addition to holding a MD and medical license, he also has a masters degree in accounting and a CPA license. He went on to share that he had some experience with Deloitte, and he still does a few tax returns for family members. Years ago, he taught a few evening accounting classes.
It’s a small world.
